PROJECT 2 - Teach a Martian to Tie a Shoe

This project turned out to be really fun and complex at the same time. How do you really teach an alien something completely new and hope "it" understands what you are trying to convey? Well, my two closest "aliens" were my daughter and my spouse...not too far from that quest I presume, and not soon enough I had a barrage of questions. First, my spouse did not completely understand what was I showing her, but after a few hints to get her impression, still did not understand.
I left that planet so fast and hoped no other aliens contact her to get any other impressions. I soon arrived on the hostile planet (daughters bedroom) and found a hostile species reluctant to observe my friendly missive. Without a ray gun (her car keys) this alien had no other choice but to observe the sign in the sky. Her reaction was paired with a "Whooouu" sound; something my sensors indicated to be pleasing and amusingly understanding. I got a thumbs up and several suggestions to complete the "tie" down of the shoe. And here it is...Enjoy!

Revised

After the critique, there were some more adjustments that had to be made in order to convey the idea clearly. Some of those were subtle like removing the bars from the beginning and end circle, and increase the size of "material's list" at the top, and the line across to denote what is needed. Also the "creepy" hand; indeed it was creepy.
